@7.00pm

The band name is duly taken from the Polish word for wind – whispering soft textural melancholy that can suddenly morph into riff-driven energy. Retrospective lyrics, often odd time signatures and intricate arrangements give rise to the band’s message of embracing inner fears and exploring the ever-changing human nature.

Formed as a quartet in late 2020, the group started off with progressive/math rock influences which could be heard on their debut EP “Memory Interior”, self-released in 2024.

Currently a Polish/Dutch/Norwegian trio, composed of Diana Opiela (vocals, piano), Fons Houtman (guitar) and Kristin Hille-Krumsvik (bass guitar), Viatr evolved into more ambient, cinematic soundscapes. They are in the process of recording their second release, while playing live around London.
